Building My Digital Presence

Building my digital presence has become an important part of my digital marketing journey. As I started learning new skills, I wanted to create a professional space where I could share my work, document my progress, and introduce myself as a digital marketer. It is not only about having a website or posting on social media. It is also about showing people who you are, what you do, what you are learning, and the kind of work you want to be known for.

That made me think about my own digital presence. I wanted to create a place where I could share my learning journey, showcase my work, and gradually build my professional identity as a digital marketer.

Why It Matters

Today, people often look online before deciding whether to connect with a person or a business. A website, LinkedIn profile, or social media account can give people a better idea of your skills, interests, experience, and work.

For me, having an online presence is also a way of documenting my progress. Instead of keeping everything I learn to myself, I can share projects, ideas, and experiences as I continue developing my skills.

I also realised that building an online presence takes time. It is something that grows as you learn and create more.

My Journey

Creating my portfolio website has been an important part of this journey.

When I started working on it, I had to learn how to organise pages, write content, choose images, create sections, and make the website easy to navigate. Working on my own website gave me an opportunity to put my digital marketing lessons into practice.

It also made me think more carefully about how I present myself online. I wanted my website to reflect not only what I can do now, but also the direction I want to take as I continue learning.

Building My Personal Brand

As I work on my digital presence, I am also slowly discovering what I want my personal brand to represent.

I want people who visit my website to understand that I am someone who enjoys learning, experimenting with new ideas, and helping businesses improve their online presence.

I don’t expect everything to be perfect from the beginning. My skills and experience are still developing, and I believe my online presence can grow along with them.

What I’m Learning

Every new skill I learn gives me another opportunity to improve.

WordPress has helped me understand websites and how different pages come together. Content creation has taught me to think about what people want to read and see. Social media has helped me understand how brands communicate with their audiences.

I am also learning about SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Google Business Profile, and other areas of digital marketing.

The more I learn, the more I realise that digital marketing is a field where there is always something new to explore.

Looking Ahead

My digital presence is still a work in progress, just like my digital marketing journey.

I want to continue adding projects to my portfolio, improving my website, sharing useful content, and learning new skills in digital marketing..

For me, building a digital presence isn’t about trying to create a perfect image. It is about showing my work, sharing my progress, and creating opportunities for the future.

I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.
